It takes some people a lifetime to understand how sound should be heard… to understand how the mind processes sound into emotion. For FawazO, this sense was instinctual. From a very early age, he felt and recognized the affect of sound and music, and with this gift he acquired a taste for deep/dark house, the sensitivity for progressive sounds, and the crisp edge of techno. Thanks to the influences of such names as Sander Kleinenberg, Laurent Garnier and Richie Hawtin, he developed his DJing talents to a variety of audiences spanning from the USA to the Czech Republic to his home country of Bahrain, where he currently resides.
Having music as one of the greater inspirations in his life, FawazO has found DJing to be one of his most fulfilling passions – he sees it more than creating a synergy of sounds. He feels the flow of the beats, the tunes, melodies and bass-lines, and brings together the frequencies in one smooth set, in an attempt to lift the crowd to a higher state of consciousness. But as any DJ discovers at a certain point, the understanding and creation of this sound is the next level. And this is the level that FawazO has challenged himself to get to. His production brings together a mix of electro, tech-house, progressive and techno beats (much like his live mixes), adding samples from speeches, 90’s tracks and old Arabic vocals (expressing his roots).
You can find FawazO spinning at several events around Bahrain – Likwid (Techno nights with Mr K), Analogue Soul (after hour events with DJ Mazen) and ofcourse at the Torque events around the Island.
